About Timothy
I'm Timothy Miller. My wife and I moved to Kansas City in 2026, and I started Segnatura Learning to give kids here the kind of teaching I've watched work.
I've spent most of my life teaching kids in one form or another. Three summers as a camp counselor, teaching children ages 5 to 13. Teaching English to international families at Oklahoma State, and running an after-school program for their kids. A summer teaching high school students at a church in Texas. And since 2025, working one-on-one with children ages 3 to 15, where every response is recorded and every plan has to answer to the data.
That last part changed how I think about teaching. When you count, you can't fool yourself. You know within a week whether something is working, and if it isn't, you change it. Most tutoring never measures anything. I measure everything, and I show you.
I also spent five years in restaurant service, training new team members. That's where I learned that how you treat people is part of the work, not separate from it. You'll get an answer when you write, a chart every Friday, and the truth about how your child is doing.
I'm a Christian, and I'm studying for a Master of Divinity in Christian Education. I believe every child is made in the image of God, which is why I don't believe any child is "just bad at math." Tutoring here is open to every family.
